La Flèche Wallonne 2026 saw a new average speed record set by winner Paul Seixas of Decathlon CMA CGM Team. Seixas had an average speed of 43.56 km/h (27.07 mph) over the 200 km course.
The previous average speed record of 43.52 km/h (27.04 mph) was set in the 2023 edition of La Flèche Wallonne by winner Tadej Pogačar.
It should be noted that the 2023 edition of the race was 194.3 km while the 2026 edition was 200 km, therefore one could say that the average speed of Seixas is more impressive than at first glance as the 2026 La Flèche Wallonne was nearly 6 km longer than in 2023.
